I have been exploring Experiential Education for a decade now, looking for more effective learning approaches. In doing so, my students and I have been able to collaborate with various organizations here and abroad (ex. France, Haiti).
Overall, my professional contribution shows a strong interest for both teaching-learning innovation and a desire to bring the French world communities to the students. Helping learners of French appreciate the cultural diversity of the Francophone world is at the center of my preoccupations. As a result, most of my endeavors over the last 10 years have been in the area of collaborative active learning and technology-enhanced learning of less-commonly taught cultures, which finally led me to explore Experiential Education. Furthermore, my experience as workshop facilitator with the York U. Center for the Support of Teaching and with language colleagues in both French Studies and DLLL have encouraged me to explore opportunities for faculty training.
