Romi-Lee Sevel teaches financial and non-financial reporting, finance, ethics, auditing and emerging technologies.

Romi-Lee previously worked in public accounting in the audit and assurance sector, providing services to private companies, non-profits, and condominium corporations. Romi-Lee also has experience providing clients in various industries with consulting services such as tax planning, budgeting, appropriate financial reporting, investment management, and performance measurement.

Approach to Teaching


Romi-Lee takes a hands-on approach by guiding students in their learning while holding them accountable for their own success. She believes in stimulating genuine interest in subject matter to enhance student learning. Romi-Lee makes a deliberate choice to build rapport with students to help create a welcoming and positive learning environment in her classroom.

In addition to gaining technical knowledge in her courses, Romi-Lee aims for her students to acquire an enhanced sense of professionalism and the ability to exercise judgment and act ethically. She tries to instill in her students an appreciation for the accounting profession - one that is continuously evolving- and the role that accountants play in society.
