Yanran Guo is an assistant professor at York University. Before joining York, she received her PhD degree in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2023 and then taught for one year at the University of Queensland. Her general research interests lie in the areas of macroeconomics, growth and development. Most of her work focuses on the implications of redistributive taxation for inequality and productivity. She is also interested in entrepreneurship and firm dynamics.
