Using Kelowna as a case study, this project compares businesses owned and operated by immigrants and non-immigrants, examining the opportunities and challenges they face and their coping strategies, and exploring policies that help to attract and retain immigrants to small and mid-sized Canadian cities for the purpose of countering aging demographic trend and promoting economic growth.
