Investigating the ecological and equity implications of market mechanisms and private sector involvement in the environmental governance of forests and fisheries in mainland Southeast Asia. Have funded thesis research by about 20 graduate students, as well as my research on fisheries labour in collaboration with Melissa Marschke.
