This research project provides an evidence-based comparative analysis of three subsequent years of race data collected by Ottawa Police following the landmark 2013–2015 “racial profiling” study in Ottawa.
Project Description:
This is a three-year follow-up data analysis following the largest “racial profiling” study ever conducted in Canada. The goals of the race data collection Project II is to assess the differences in police-citizen relations by comparing the race disproportionalities in traffic stops in the city of Ottawa over a six-year period, and to provide recommendations for Ottawa Police Service in conjunction with the goal of bias-neutral policing.
