This research project provides an evidence-based comparative analysis of three subsequent years of race data collected by Ottawa Police following the landmark 2013 2015 ‘racial profiling’ study in Ottawa.
This is a three-year follow-up data analysis following the largest ‘racial profiling’ study ever conducted in Canada. The goals of the race data collection project II is the assess the differences in police-citizen relations by comparing the race disproportionalities in traffic stops in the city of Ottawa over a six-year period, and to provide recommendations for Ottawa Police Services in conjunction with the goal of bias-neutral policing.
