Lead policy advisor on the humanitarian situation in Sudan and South Sudan, as well as the lead coordinator of United Nations General Assembly resolutions on humanitarian issues.
Engaged in projects exploring the implications of open government and Open Data on foreign policy and development, and the intersection between Canada’s promotion of religious freedom abroad and the respect of human rights.
Research Assistant at the University of Ottawa
Assisted the rapporteur of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) Project Group on Safety and Security in producing an edited publication on comparative public administration in crisis situations. Participated as assistant researcher through the Centre of Governance at the University of Ottawa on the World Bank Institute's (WBI) Leadership for Results initiatives.

Engaged in complete management consulting and organization restructuring projects for various organizations, including international trading companies and not-for-profit organizations.

Program Coordinator for Women in International Security (WIIS) Canada
Assisted with the organization of the 16 Days of Action campaign, in collaboration with Crime Prevention Ottawa and Ottawa’s Coalition to End Violence Against Women (OCTEVAW)
North America Spokesperson for PeaceMidan
Participated in frequent media interviews (online, radio, television and print) to promote PeaceMidan, an Ottawa-based grassroots organization seeking to promote intellectual engagement, social entrepreneurship and sustainable development in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey.
Environmental Sustainability Liaison for Leadership Incorporated
Instilled sensitivity for environmental issues among high school students & encouraged development of relevant youth-run programs through leadership and business skills training. Organized "GO GREEN," Kuwait’s Amazing Environmental Race, where over 400 participants engaged in eco-friendly activities around Kuwait; event saw extensive media coverage.
World Health Organization Intern
Drafted a proposal for a new recording system to gauge domestic injury trends in Yemeni hospitals; proposal accepted. Networked with focal points for violence prevention, including various ministries, UNDP and UNICEF.
