Dr Anoosheh Rostamkalaei (she/her) is an assistant professor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the School of Administrative Sciences. Before joining York University, Anoosheh held a faculty position at the University of Kent (UK) and postdoctoral positions at the University of Ottawa and Statistics Canada.

Anoosheh’s primary research interest lies in understanding the nature and consequences of entrepreneurship. Her focus is on understanding how the experience of access to resources varies for different groups of society (immigrants, marginalized groups, women, etc.) and how the variations in access to resources and individuals’ priors translate into different entrepreneurial or post-entrepreneurial outcomes. Her research has been supported by grants and fellowships from Canada’s research councils and published in high-impact journals. Anoosheh teaches courses in entrepreneurship, innovation, and business Statistics. She is a fellow of UK Higher Education and has received certificates in teaching at the Higher Education from the University of Ottawa and University of Kent.
