Andy Weaver specializes in contemporary Canadian and American poetry and poetics, with an emphasis on formally innovative and experimental texts. Most recently, he has published articles on the poetry of Darren Wershler and Robert Duncan. His current research focuses on the relationship between contemporary poetry and political anarchy.
He has also been involved with several literary journals and poetry reading series, and his first book of poetry, Were the Bees (NeWest Press, 2005), was shortlisted for an Alberta Book Award. His second book, Gangson, was published in 2011.
