He was Director of the School of Administrative Studies for 5 years and Coordinator of the Financial Accounting Area for 15 years. Previously an accounting professor at U of Waterloo, WLU and a CA in public practice.
Dr. Gaber's teaching interests are in financial accounting. His current research interests are eclectic and include the effects of technology on learning, ethics and corporate governance, the declining relevance of published financial reports and business strategy in multi-national environments. Publications include leading journals such as CAR and Management Science and publications include topics such as audit strategy and risk, comprehensive value for money audits, total quality management, human information processing and modeling of expert judgment. Dr. Gaber is perhaps most noted as one of Canada's leading textbook authors. He has authored four accounting textbooks, one which was used by the 12 leading business schools in Canada. His latest book is an e-book which includes cutting edge interactivity. More than 150,000 students have been introduced to accounting through his books.
