Summary:
A book reflecting the experiences of an Austro-Hungarian soldier during the First World War.
Description:A Helmet Riddled With Holes contains an Introduction, 59 Comments, and a conclusion. The comments and annotations accompany WWI illustrations found in the Italian weekly Epoca (1964). The author of the annotations is a simple infantryman. The originality of this collection resides in the fact that the author, Tomas Svana, is neither Austrian nor Hungarian, but Slovak, which adds unexpected twists to his war experiences. The book will be of interest to those who are captivated by military history, the First World War, and international relations.
