Mark Schwartz is Associate Professor of Business Ethics in the Management Area at York University's School of Administrative Studies. He is an award winning researcher and teacher.
Dr. Mark Schwartz was ranked 1st in Canada and 4th in the world in business ethics research quality out of 7,908 authors based on data used in the study ‘A Citation Analysis of Business Ethics Research: A Global Perspective’ (1999-2012) published in the Journal of Business Ethics (July 2016). Dr. Schwartz was ranked 1st in Canada and 14th in the world as the most productive business ethics researcher in a study published in the Journal of Business Ethics (August 2010). Dr. Schwartz has received several research awards including the ‘Research Excellence Award’ from the School of Administrative Studies in 2016 and the Atkinson 'Dean's Award for Outstanding Research' in 2006. In 2013, Dr. Schwartz received the ‘Best Article of the Year Award’ from the journal Business Horizons and Elsevier, for ‘Developing and Sustaining an Ethical Corporate Culture: The Core Elements’. In 2000, Dr. Schwartz received the ‘Best Dissertation Award’, Academy of Management (Social Issues in Management Division) for his PhD dissertation entitled ‘The Nature of the Relationship Between Corporate Codes of Ethics and Behaviour: A Descriptive Exploration and Normative Evaluation’. Dr. Schwartz has won teaching awards at the School of Administrative Studies (York University), the Schulich School of Business (York University), Bar Ilan University, Tel Aviv University, and The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania). In 2014, Dr. Schwartz received the ‘Master Teacher in Ethics Award’ sponsored by The Wheatley Institution at Brigham Young University and the Society for Business Ethics.

Mark Schwartz is Associate Professor of Business Ethics in the Management Area at York University's School of Administrative Studies. He is an award winning researcher and teacher.
Dr. Mark Schwartz was ranked 1st in Canada and 4th in the world in business ethics research quality out of 7,908 authors based on data used in the study ‘A Citation Analysis of Business Ethics Research: A Global Perspective’ (1999-2012) published in the Journal of Business Ethics (July 2016). Dr. Schwartz was ranked 1st in Canada and 14th in the world as the most productive business ethics researcher in a study published in the Journal of Business Ethics (August 2010). Dr. Schwartz has received several research awards including the ‘Research Excellence Award’ from the School of Administrative Studies in 2016 and the Atkinson 'Dean's Award for Outstanding Research' in 2006. In 2013, Dr. Schwartz received the ‘Best Article of the Year Award’ from the journal Business Horizons and Elsevier, for ‘Developing and Sustaining an Ethical Corporate Culture: The Core Elements’. In 2000, Dr. Schwartz received the ‘Best Dissertation Award’, Academy of Management (Social Issues in Management Division) for his PhD dissertation entitled ‘The Nature of the Relationship Between Corporate Codes of Ethics and Behaviour: A Descriptive Exploration and Normative Evaluation’. Dr. Schwartz has won teaching awards at the School of Administrative Studies (York University), the Schulich School of Business (York University), Bar Ilan University, Tel Aviv University, and The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania). In 2014, Dr. Schwartz received the ‘Master Teacher in Ethics Award’ sponsored by The Wheatley Institution at Brigham Young University and the Society for Business Ethics.
